Dr. Linda Cherry
PSYD, BSED, CPT
Linda is a native to the Northern Virginia area, growing up in Fairfax County where she attended Lake Braddock Secondary School. In 2014 she was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in cross country, 1600m, and 4x800m relay. Her cross country personal best (PR 17:42) remains in the top 10 of all time there. She ran at VCU on scholarship and was 1 of 6 women on the National US Air Force cross country team while serving as a military psychologist.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Education at George Mason University and passed the National Teaching Exam (now called Praxis). She earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Fayetteville State University, North Carolina and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University, Hawaii. She is also a certified Anger Management Specialist through the National Anger Management Association (namass.org) and a certified and insured personal trainer (CPT) through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Lastly, Linda is a certified USA Track and Field coach as well as a National Board member on the Psychological Assistance subcommittee/locally she serves on the Springfield Youth Club (SYA) Board of Directors.

James is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina and has been an active athlete all of his life. At the age of 9 James was the Hawaii State youth champion in the 2 mile run. As he grew older James utilized his agility skills from soccer and endurance from running to transition into lacrosse and football as his primary sports.
After a career-ending injury his senior year. James has obtained his NASM, USA Track & Field, and USA Power Lifting certifications cultivating his successful individualized programs for athletes.
James believes that any goal is possible if you're willing to put in the work inside and outside the gym/field. His goal is to create programs that challenge athletes and enhance athletic performance for collegiate sports.
James specializes in: general fitness assessment and conditioning, sport-specific assessment and development, and personal training with a medical weight loss team (behavioral health and registered dietician).
Nikky Hindle, RD, CPT
I enjoy working with my clients to develop healthy relationships with food, exercise, and self. I believe that each person deserves their own personalized recommendations and nutrition advice, because no two people present with the exact same background. Each counseling session and meal plan provided by NOVA Sports Nutrition is tailored to the unique needs of the individual. My specialty areas include sports nutrition, weight management, addiction recovery, and medical nutrition management for diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. I have been in private practice since 2017.
